I just passed the arbitrary amount of words in my current book of 20,000. This means, by some useless standards my book has went from a short story to a novella. These useless and arbitrary numbers mean nothing, and shouldn't in writing; especially to the characters and story arcs.

which means: (?)

A: True
B: BS!!!, I feel AWESOME to make it to a novella :P ... So far. I made 20k, HA! I made 20k, HO!
C: #HumbleBrag
D:  Anything for a distraction :: yay for procrastination
E:  All the above, especially D.

(Hint: I wrote the outline to this post before I had 10k words.)

So I'm sitting here writing in my new novel, and I realize the way I'm doing it is just about as different as could be with my last novel, The Underground. A long time ago I remember wondering, or asking myself - what's the best way to write a book? Apparently whatever works at that time; it really doesn't matter. Getting the story out, jotting something down, making the story real by writing it down is all that mattered... I think.

I do this for my animations, music, video game ideas, or anything I want to make, learn, or build; and I think the answer is the same for anything, make it real by doing it. Be it badly, wrongly, or who knows, maybe the right way, my way.

Not sure about this post, but I had to note how differently writing this book is different from the last one.

After finishing chapter 1, I've realized that this book is going to be a lot different than the last in a kinds of ways. Style, type, character, size, blah, and blah, and etc...

Fun stuff!

reached the point where questions about my main characters has arrived. I need to define my characters more before moving on from this point. I enjoy this part of it, but part of me is upset that I haven't already figured them out. I suppose I have, but at this point in the story they can still change; and of course I'm thinking about it.

Should I stick with my original character ideas? or change them to the newer ideas that have come along since I've started writing? Normally this type of situation isn't that hard, but the new and old at this point, in this book, with these characters would end up being two completely different stories; depending on which I choose.

...sigh

(Will probably choose one and use the other later in this novel, or another)

After messing around with several ideas, I've finally chosen my next book/novel. Which leads me to wonder if I should leave the title of this blog as is; the title to my first released novel... I think so, yes I will. As I type thoughts to paper, ... a bit.

The next title will be a bite different than the last as it isn't a sci-fi story, nor is it a series (that I know of, i suppose it could come back? as could anything in the future.)

Anyway it's nice to finally have something in a focus.

I haven't posted anything in awhile and I released my 3D models today, two characters; with no current project under way it is kind of strange. I am working on starting a couple of stories, one for a possible animation or animated series. The other story would be my hopes for another published book, but not the next novel in the Unbound series yet.

Along with taking notes and working on the second book of the series Unbound, I am also gathering up some of my other story ideas and making some new titles. None of which are currently more than one novel, other than Unbound of course.
