I stated earlier that because of writing I've been afflicted with a more potent sense of bad writing. I think I've also found some good writing in movies that is horribly  ruined by terrible movie making. I can just picture the casting director "These eight people want to be in a movie, so we're ready" and a producer or director saying "just say the words, so we can get this done" and of course the editor "Just make sure you have enough fill to stretch this thing out to a movie length"; and of course in anything that sucks, a group of people sitting around a table that has nothing to do with anything making decisions that they have no business making.

Or, I'm overestimating my ability to recognize the good stuff, either way; I'm more picky ... which really sucks.

I really need to learn how to shut it off so I can enjoy a movie even if it sucks.
